360 Business Assessment: Is Your Company Healthy?

Writer's picture: Wilson GilWilson Gil

Just a few months ago, I had a coaching session a with a valued client on our premium plan (let's call her Barbara to protect her privacy). Barbara was very concerned about the challenges her company was facing. We talked about things like cash flow feeling sluggish, sales dropping a bit recently, and a sense that their working capital wasn't stretching as far as it used to. She also mentioned noticing a decrease in overall employee productivity

My conversation with Barbara went on for a while, and as she explored her concerns, I realized they were more than just surface-level problems. These were fundamental issues about the direction of her company.

In that moment, I felt a surge of ideas – potential solutions and strategies I could offer. But then I took a step back and focused on truly hearing Barbara's perspective.

Together, we delved deeper into the issues she was facing. It wasn't about throwing a bunch of band-aids at the situation; it was about understanding the root cause. By the end, we had a much clearer picture of the challenges.

In the days that followed my conversation with Barbara, I realized that her story shared the same ground of others. Here was a company that had thrived after the pandemic, a success story! But even with that growth, Barbara was facing so many challenges!.

It became clear that as the owner, she'd worn many hats during the growth period. Delegating tasks hadn't gone as smoothly as planned, the new employees posed new challenges to the entire company and the lack of support processes became obvious.

Barbara's story really resonated with me. It's a common challenge for businesses that experience rapid growth – suddenly, the systems that worked before don't quite fit anymore. The same happens with small to medium companies when disrupting events makes them get out of their comfort zones.

This inspired me to develop a new tool within our membership program. It's designed to specifically help companies like Barbara's navigate the transition from a superboss model to a more structured team environment and process oriented.

Every company needs a Health Check from time to time

Just like a car needs a tune-up, businesses need regular assessments. Yet, many companies operate without a clear performance baseline. This makes it impossible to gauge progress or identify areas needing improvement.

Independent evaluations can be expensive and time-consuming. While these services exist, they're often out of reach for smaller businesses.

What if there was a better way, a 360 Business Assessment Tool?
